    Yuhang Wang is a Professor at the Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (FUNSOM), Soochow University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Fudan University in 2017. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto from 2017 to 2020.

     

    He was the recipient of the National Natural Science Fund for Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (overseas), Jiangsu Specially Appointed Professors, and "Emerging Investigators in 2024" of the Journal of Materials Chemistry A and the Chinese Journal of Chemistry. He is a Youth Editorial Board Member of SmartMat, Wiley, and an Early Career Researcher Editorial Board Member of Materials Today Sustainability, Elsevier. He has more than 90 scientific publications and has been cited over 12000 times with an H-index of 50. His research focuses on electrochemical CO2 capture and conversion.

  • CURRENT MEMBERS

    • Postdoctoral fellow Dr. Binbin Pan 潘斌斌 博士 Dr. Pan received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Functional Nano Soft Materials, Soochow University. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow co-supervised by Prof. Yanguang Li and Prof. Yuhang Wang. His research focuses on CO2 electroreduction in flow cells and membrane electrode assemblies.
    • Ph.D. student Mr. Tongbao Wang 王同宝 ​Tongbao Wang received his bachelor's degree in Materials science and Engineering from NJ Tech University in 2021. He is a PhD candidate in the Wang group at the Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials. His research interest is high-temperature electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction.
    • Ph.D. student Ms. Huijun Lv 吕慧君 Huijun LV received her M.Sc. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Qufu Normal University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the Wang Group at the Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials at Soochow University. Her research interests focus on the application of bipolar membranes (BPM) in electrochemical reduction.
    • Ph.D Student Miss Mengjing Wang 王梦晶 Mengjing Wang received her bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Jinan University in 2023. She is currently pursuing her PhD in the Wang Group at the FUNSOM at Soochow University. Her research interests focus on bipolar membrane electrochemistry.
    • M.Eng. student Mr. Zhuo Chen 陈卓 Zhuo Chen got his bachelors degree from Changshu Institute of Technology in 2023. He has joined the Wang group in September 2023. His future direction is the design of ion exchange membranes in membrane electrode assemblies (MEA).
    • M.Eng. student Mr. Xiwen Tan 谭喜文 Xiwen Tan received his bachelors degree in New energy materials and devices from NJ Tech University in 2023. Hes part of the Wang group now. His research direction is carbon dioxide reduction at high temperatures.
    • M.Eng. student Mr. Yuesheng Zhang 张月生 Yuesheng Zhang got his Bachelor of Technology from Nantong University in 2023. He is now pursuing his masters degree as a member of the Wang group at the Institute of Functional Nano Soft Materials. He will be conducting research on electrochemical CO2 capture.
    • M.Eng. student Mr. Haoxiang Bai 白昊翔 Haoxiang Bai got his Bachelor of Nano Materials and Technology from Soochow University in 2024. He joined the Wang group in July 2023, where he is now an M.Eng. student. His research interest is membrane electrode assemblies for carbon monoxide reduction.
    • M.Sc. student Miss Xue Han 韩雪 Han Xue got her bachelors degree from Shanxi Normal University in 2024.She is now pursuing a masters degree in the Wang Group at the Institute for Functional Nano and Soft Materials. Her future research focuses on developing bipolar membranes (BPM).
    • M.Sc. student Miss Jinglei Shen 申静蕾 Jinglei Shen got her bachelors degree from Henan Normal University in 2024. She joined the Wang group in September 2024. Her future research is the design and synthesis of ionomers for CORR microenvironment regulation.
    • M.Sc. Student Mr. Yangyang Teng 滕杨杨 Yangyang Teng got his Bachelor of Nanomaterials and Technology from Soochow University in 2025. He joined the Wang group in July 2024. His future direction is the synthesis and mechanism of anion exchange membranes.
    • M.Sc. Student Miss Nini Zhang 张妮妮 Zhang Nini obtained her bachelor's degree from Anhui Science and Technology University in 2024. She joined the Wang Group at the Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials in September 2025. Her future research direction is carbon dioxide reduction.

    • M.Eng. student Mr. Wenzhi Teng 滕文治 Wenzhi Teng received his M.Eng. degree from Soochow University in 2025.
    • M.Eng. student Ms. Fan Zeng 曾凡 Fan Zeng got her M.Eng. degree in materials science and engineering from Soochow University in 2025.
    • M.Eng. student Ms. Huiying Deng 邓惠莹 Huiying Deng got her Master's degree in MSE from Soochow University in 2025. She will be a PhD candidate at the City University of Hong Kong.
    • Graduate student Mr. Guangtai Han 韩光泰 Guangtai Han obtained his M.Eng. degree in materials science and engineering from Soochow University in 2024. When he was a member of the Wang group, his research topic was perovskite oxide based water oxidation catalysts.
    • Graduate student Mr. Xuan Wang 汪烜 Xuan Wang received his M.Eng. degree from Soochow University in 2024, where his advisor was Prof. Yuhang Wang. He will be a PhD candidate at the City University of Hong Kong.
    • Graduate student Mr. Jundong Wang 王俊栋 Jundong Wang got his M.Eng. degree from Soochow University under the supervision of Prof. Yuhang Wang in 2024. He will continue his research career at Peking University.
    • Graduate student Ms. Mengjiao Zhuansun 颛孙孟娇 Zhuansun Mengjiao was a M.Eng. student in the Wang group from 2021 to 2024. She obtained her M.Sc. from Soochow University in 2024. She will pursue her Ph.D. degree at Zhejiang University.
